Pencil Shavings

The first material I have started experimenting with is pencil shavings. Purely because they were available. 
At first I just used sketching pencils

I went with a flower design for simplicity. I don't think they turned put too bad.

I did a sketch, and then destroyed the flowers. As I did so I noticed that the shavings had left marks on the table, so I thought I would do the next design in my sketchbook. I also decided to use coloured pencils.

I kept to the flower design, but added a bit of a landscape. Its quite messy, but I like how the colours blended together. I also liked the aftermath on the sheet.

I might do some more experiments with pencil shavings, as they are so handy. But I don't know if they'll be a massive part of this project.
