At first I just drew into the talc with my finger, basic lines drawings just to see how they looked. I am not particularly keen.
I then flattened the talc and drew into it lightly with a pencil. I liked this better, I think it could look quite effective done properly.
I then used a piece of card to move the talc power. I think this created a nice abstract effect.
Here I just sprinkled the talc, for a sort of starry effect. I don't think there's much to it to be honest. Its a bit boring.
I thought I would try imprinting things into the talc, but the only thing that worked was my hand.
I got a bit bored of playing with the talc, so I started drawing in it with a pencil strong enough for it to draw onto the paper under it. It has actually turned out to be my favourite of the talc experiments.
I showed David what I've been doing and he suggested printing out the photographs. For the first few prints he suggested low cost black and white prints just to see what the effect was and if I can use them in anyway.
